Bits and pieces from my FABULOUS week 4/8

1.  Booked my trip to LA. Super excited to stay at  Viceroy Santa Monica, so uber chic!

2. Picked up fab bikini top at H&M, which looks amazing with bikini bottom I picked up at Tar-jay a few weeks ago.

3. Upped the anti on my workouts! Gorgeous weather = outside run to enjoy the beautifully blossomed trees.

4. Attended Designer Evenings with Apartment Therapy at ABC Carpet and Home. The lovely Editor in Chief of Martha Stewart Living, Pilar Guzman, shared her journey and experiences in working in Martha land. Love the freshness she is adding to the magazine!

5. Headboard fabric swatches from Z Gallerie arrived! Visited favorite showrooms looking for unique pieces for my “Dreamy, Exotic, Palm Beach” inspired bedroom project.

  • Orange chair is from Sit Down NY, my go to source for fabulous modern and edgy furnishings at super affordable prices.
  • Fell in love with the infamous Scalamandre zebra infused into the Dwell Studio pillow found at ABC Home.
  • And couldn’t resist the zebra print from Modani… will look amazing in my client’s Master Bath….hope she likes it!

6. After shopping and aching feet I needed more appropriate comfy shoes. Hopped over to Geox and picked up these cuties….so Chanel!

7. First batch of deliveries took place at duplex apartment project. Everything looks fab, I can’t wait to see it complete!

8. Quick run to Khols’s to pick up bed sheets for  one day makeover next week (being filmed to air on Open House NY), fell in love with this satin python blazer. On sale, so couldn’t leave it behind! I’m not one to let an amazing (python) deal go by…..

9. Special issue of Domino magazine hit the news stand! Ran to Barnes and Noble, swiped my amex, and devoured it like a box of Payard macarons! It’s filled with tons of fab and affordable ideas to beautify any space.

10. As if things couldn’t get any more fabulous, my Contemporary Coastal project was featured on Design Shuffle!

So….how was your week??

My favorite time of the year is here….Quince and Cherry Blossom season!
I love the drama these simple, sophiticated branches add to a space. They’re also super affordable, about $10 a branch,  and last for weeks.
They are only in season for a few more weeks so visit the flower district on 27th street or your local florist and purchase these lovelies right away.  They will add an instant dose of chic and revive your space, I promise!

Earlier this week, while waiting on furniture deliveries out in the suburbs, I decided to kill some time and headed over to Home Goods….

Oh my was it a treat! These are some of the items I fell in love with. And just for fun, I created two imaginary room makeovers for my finds. Each accessory assortment is less than $250, which clearly shows, you don’t have to spend a lot to make your space fabulous!

A great piece of artwork, pair of lamps, some pillows and perhaps a rug, can completely transform a space.

I hope I’ve inspired you and that your off to your nearest Home Goods. Happy decorating!

Dramatic details are often exactly what a room needs to bring it to life and give it some sizzle!

Right now, I’m crazy over zig zag chevron prints! They’re bold, gutsy and add just the right amount of drama for a space looking a little drab.

I stumbled upon upon Madura Home on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side this weekend and was in awe with their vibrant accessories, amazing readymade window treatments, pillows and desk accessories.

Here were a few of my favorites and recommendations for your space.

1. If your workspace is in need of a  little organization this magazine basket or general catch all near a door is awesome. It also comes is loads of other color in case fushia is not your color.

2. I love this side table for a small bedroom or two bunched together would make an awesome cocktail table.

3. “Orange you happy to see me!” I’m loving this orange throw, it will easily uplift any sofa and add loads of cheer to any space.
