If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been working on a Brooklyn Brownstone rescue makeover with George to the Rescue.

I was truly honored at the opportunity to help out with this project. When I got the call from NBC and learned the life story of the amazing sisters that live in this home, I immediately agreed to participate and contribute my services for this incredibly deserved makeover.

You can see the before photos here and design process peek here.

I can’t reveal too much before it airs on September 15th at 9:30 am on Channel 4. However, I can’t resist sharing a few sneak peeks and thank the sponsors whose support made this rescue incredible.

A million thanks to the following companies for their generous contribution and donations:

1. Benjamin Moore who provided us paint and whose incredible colors look AMAZING against the beautiful original plaster detail.

2. Hayneedle who donated the graphic rug, stripped slipper chair, abstract artwork, bookcase and elegant bench shown.

3. Home Decorators who provided the handsome cocktail ottoman, side table, slipper dining chairs, gorgeous chandelier as pictured.

4. Pier 1 Imports who donated the chic glass X base table shown.

5. Arcadian Lighting who provided the stunning mirror above the mantle, as pictured.

I’ll be sure to remind you of the rescue air date as we get closer to Sept 15th. You are going to be floored when you see the complete transformation, all the hard work that went into this makeover and be charmed by the beautiful ladies we rescued.

Bits and pieces of my Fran-bulous week 5/20

Wow, what an amazing week….

1. We completed our Brooklyn Brownstone rescue makeover with George to the Rescue which will be airing as the season premier on September 15th at 9:30 am. I’ll be posting more photos in a few days….stay tuned.

2. Working on our new Greenpoint Brooklyn project….so Mad Men-esque. Love it!!

3. Had a F-A-B-U-L-0-U-S evening at the New Traditionalists party. Love all their product and was inspired for a few DIY projects, you can check out here.

4. Chevron pillows arrived from Joss & Main…..They are going to be the perfect POP for my clients space.

5. “Dreamy Palm Beach” inspired Master Bedroom was painted. I’m obsessed with the colors, all from Benjamin Moore of course! Accent wall is Shore House Green 2047-50 and walls, ceiling are Robin’s Nest 618.

6. Construction is complete at Financial Planning Office project! Hooray, now time to order furniture!

7. With such a busy week, my feet (and everything else) were begging for rest, so, I hit the beach, aaaahhhhh.

How was your week lovelies??

Bits and pieces from my FABULOUS week 5/13

What a fun week! I wish they were all like this…

1. Got to spend some fab, quality time with my Grannie for Mother’s Day, how cute is she….I adore her!!

2. The duplex living room is now complete! Well, almost, it needs to be accessorized, which I plan on doing next week right before my client’s housewarming party. YAY!

3. Tested colors for my “dreamy, palm beach” inspired master bedroom. We selected Benjamin Moore, Shore House Green 2047-50 behind the bed and Robin’s Nest 618 for the ceiling and other walls, so DREAMY!!!

4. Selected fabrics for my “Sophisticated Eclectic” Great Room project, loving the mix of textures and patterns!

5. Obsessed over my new client’s private roof terrace in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

6. Scored this fab vintage Klismos chair at The Furniture Market in Astoria. Need to pick fabric to have it reupholstered and give it a fabulous new life.

7. Finished off the week drinking bubbly at a design meeting with my work husband (my contractor) in Brewster NY, to discuss his new bar/lounge design…..ahhhh!

Earlier this week, while waiting on furniture deliveries out in the suburbs, I decided to kill some time and headed over to Home Goods….

Oh my was it a treat! These are some of the items I fell in love with. And just for fun, I created two imaginary room makeovers for my finds. Each accessory assortment is less than $250, which clearly shows, you don’t have to spend a lot to make your space fabulous!

A great piece of artwork, pair of lamps, some pillows and perhaps a rug, can completely transform a space.

I hope I’ve inspired you and that your off to your nearest Home Goods. Happy decorating!

Dramatic details are often exactly what a room needs to bring it to life and give it some sizzle!

Right now, I’m crazy over zig zag chevron prints! They’re bold, gutsy and add just the right amount of drama for a space looking a little drab.
